Horus Sentinel™ is a cognitive Monitoring Unit (AMU) designed for early detection and warning of machine faults on low-cost assets for which the economics of such monitoring have been traditionally prohibitive.

A world first

Horus has designed the Horus Sentinel™, the world’s first synthetic sensor to act as an early warning device for system failures in all things HVAC and plant, utilising temperature, vibration and sound just like the human senses.

Advanced sensor monitoring

Horus Sentinel™ combines thermal, vibration, and acoustic measurement sensors with advanced algorithms that learn the characteristics of the machine being monitored. Deviations from this learned behaviour are assessed by Horus Sentinel™ and a decision made as to whether to trigger an alert.

Fully wireless

Horus Sentinel™ utilizes low-bandwidth LP-WAN connections to wirelessly transmit its assessment results, which can be readily integrated with existing Building Management Systems and a variety of dashboards.

The Horus Sentinel™ is a highly flexible low cost solution ideally suited to the monitoring of a variety of machines, including:

Brendan Looney

Chief Executive Officer

Brendan Looney is a lawyer and is responsible for Horus’s strategic growth initiatives and oversees the day to day operations on the business. He has worked in various positions in banking, fund management and legal services.

Derek Keogh

Chief Operations Officer

Derek is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant with multirole expertise from accounting to project management. He has a strong background in successful project start-ups. He has joined Horus to run the day-to-day functions of the business.

Dr James Fryar

Chief Technology Officer

James Fryar is the Chief Technology Officer of Horus. He obtained his PhD in the field of semiconductor physics. He has experience in various technology companies, most recently in smart electric car charging products. He has also worked extensively on the development, design, and implementation of data capture and filtering hardware, small signal recovery systems, and data analysis algorithms in both academic and private-sector settings.

Patrick Robinson

Sales Director

Patrick Robinson is the Sales Director of Horus. He is a seasoned professional in the world of wireless IP. With over 16 years’ experience in working for some of the world’s best known manufacturers, he has worked with everything from modems to cellular engines, WAN infrastructure to IoT solutions.
